We are a local assembly of saved, scripturally baptized people who are united in the belief of what our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ taught during his personal ministry; and have covenanted together to carry out what He has commanded of us in Matthew 28:19-20.

Our church was organized on August 19, 1955, by an arm extended from the Bethel First Missionary Baptist Church of Corvallis, Oregon, and Elder Randall Garrison was our first pastor.  The assembly met in a number of places, including a basement, the Labor Temple, a schoolhouse and the Grange Hall. Construction began in 1961 on the building at our current location.  Even with bare floors, no ceiling, exposed studs and a pot-bellied stove, services began there in 1962. The kitchen, dining hall and classrooms were added in 1974, and the sanctuary was remodeled in the spring of 2015.

As an extension of the church body, our Ladies Auxiliary was formed in 1974. With a desire to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and focus on God’s Word, we began sponsoring a Family Church Camp in 1983 and hosting a Bible Conference in 1989. Being mission-minded, we started a mission effort in Gold Beach, Oregon in July 1982, and they organized into a church in September 1993.  We currently support missionaries in Paraguay, Mexico, the Philippines and in El Paso, Texas.

We are an independent Missionary Baptist Church that maintains fellowship with churches of like faith and order.  We also fellowship with the Oregon State Association of Missionary Baptist Churches, but are not affiliated with any convention or the World Council of Churches.
